Is there such a thing as an all natural beauty pageant that doesn't allow plastic surgery/heavy makeup/ect.?

Do an internet search for natural beauty pageants..there are quite a few smaller systems that do not allow ';enhancements';..not even fake eyelashes! Is there such a thing as an all natural beauty pageant that doesn't allow plastic surgery/heavy makeup/ect.?
I don't think so. But I do know that they are trying to make the Miss America pageant way more natural. Is there such a thing as an all natural beauty pageant that doesn't allow plastic surgery/heavy makeup/ect.?
Yeah I have heard of one, but I don't know the name.

It was for little kids though.

  • What are some useful beauty/ style tips especially including makeup, (short) hair, skin care (acne), ect.?!?

well if you should first go to a try on some massacre and eyeliner to see how you feel wearing that if you like it then go and get the eyeshadow just start adding up on more makeup but however do not overdue it you do not want to look like BOZO the clown. For your hair you should try different styles for short hair

like the new spikes, tiny flips, hard curls, and more. For acne try proactive it workd good , but for over the counter medicine get Noxema or Clean and Clear night and day creams then your face will clear.

NEED BEAUTY HELp FROM THE GOOD AT MAKEUP PEOPLE!?

My nose's tip is..ugh. The center is this round, pouchy pillow, like, a giant circle, and my nostrils are hugely round and flared. The whole thing is stubby. How do I make my nose look more, well, POINTY through makeup??? HEEELP and thanku very muchhh!!!!!!!!!!!!NEED BEAUTY HELp FROM THE GOOD AT MAKEUP PEOPLE!?
hummm don't use powder (make is look bigger) use a liquid foundationNEED BEAUTY HELp FROM THE GOOD AT MAKEUP PEOPLE!?
idk, u shouldnt be so conserned with your nose im sure it looks fine, honestly no ons really looking at your nose so dont be to conserned about it! good luck
Use a concealer or a light brown liner that can be smudged and put it in the creases at the base of your nose. It gives your nose more definition and the appearance of being more slender. Just make sure it is blended in!
you can try using a light powder on the tip and darker powder along the sides, this will trick the eye into thinking it is smaller, but you will need to experiment a bit to find out how much of each looks best
i agree with the others. in addition, put on eyeliner and or eyeshadow to draw attention to the eyes and draw attention away from ur nose

    i feel ur pain i have a big nose 2 :)
    i don't think that's possible....
Put a lighter shade of your skin tone colour on the tip of your nose and make the sides of your nose the same colour as the rest of your skin.
If you want to you can e-mail me privately for a consult..
I agree with the people who said to highlight down the centre and use a darker shade down the sides...

HOWEVER - you must blend very carefully and don't go too dark - no more than a shade - or your nose could look dirty (and that's no fun). Just a dash of bronzer maybe?
For makeup selection, try the following site

    http://www.makeup101.net/selectmakeup.ht鈥?/a>
Use a bronzer or darker shade of foundation on the sides of your nose and use a highlightener or lighter shade of foundation on the front of your nose. Lighter makes things stand out and darker makes shadows which will give the sides of your nose the appearance of curving inward.

    Beauty Pageant Makeup!!!!?

I'm going to be in a beauty pageant in late November, it might get delayed until early December, my dress is a sky blue and I'm not really tan, I'm going for natural but noticeable makeup..any ideas?Beauty Pageant Makeup!!!!?
I am assuming the whole pageant takes place on stage. If that is the case, you need a little more makeup than you would normally wear, since the stage lights will wash out your feautres. I also have light skin and eyes and hair, and wear a lot of blue in pageants. I do a smokey eye in shades of grey, a little extra blush, and a mauvey pink lip with lots of gloss. Make sure your foundation is perfect and any imperfections are concealed. Contrary to what others said, you do not automatically lose if you have a blemish, but you do want your skin to look as even as it can. If you have interviews or anything off stage up close with the judges, wear your makeup more natural then. Good luck and have fun!!!Beauty Pageant Makeup!!!!?
U cud try this, add more colour if u want:

    1. Put a light-coloured shimmer over the lid of the eye.

    2. Choose a nice natural colour over the top- so it adds abit of colour.

    3. Use eyelash curlers and then apply mascara to the outer 1/3 lashes so it looks a little flirty!

    4. Keep the bottom lashes free from mascara- a clear one would still be O.K.

    5. Add a little bit under the bottom lashes only 陆 way using a light coloured shimmer or the colour you applied on top earlier.

Dont forget ur foundation and concealer and some translucent powder to set it.
Apply foundation and concealer, to cover ALL redness, pimples and dark circles. Set with powder so it doesn't melt off under the hot lights. Apply heaps of mascara, but leave the eyes nude, apply a rosy pink blush and a clear lip gloss all over your lips, and a sparkly pink one in the center of your bottom lip, to make your lips appear pouter.
In beauty pageants, they wear an INSANE amount of makeup, seriously. Your skin has to be FLAWLESS under all those lights, or else you're out. ONE blemish and...bam. You lose. Just wear a lot of foundation, concealer, an unreasonable amount of blush, some bright eyeshadow and some fake eyelashes.

I have an indian beauty pageant coming up and i want to know ways i can do my makeup especially the eyes.?

If you have brown eyes use an amathyst eye shadow

also use inidvidual false lashes on the corners of your eyes and use a lengthening mascara to blend the flase lashes with your natural lashes

also line the top of your eyes to make your lash line look thicker

and also line the inner rim of your eye above your bottom lashes

use clear mascara on your bottom lashes to lengthen them without looking too fake or the black from the mascara rubbing offI have an indian beauty pageant coming up and i want to know ways i can do my makeup especially the eyes.?

it all depends on your eye colour. If you have brown eyes, you should wear NOT brown but other colours that will bring out the colour in your eyes. If you go to a salon store, they may have makeup they can put on you so you should check that out. Make-up artist always know their best.
eyeshadows that pop against your tan skintone like gold! and bronze! Maybe even a chocolate eyeshadow

BEAUTY tips that people probobley dont konw..gove me evrything that u can think of..PLZ! any makeup tips?

hey..i have oily skin ahd whatever it doesnt matter. i just want ALLL you beauty tips that you can think of,,BEAUTY tips that people probobley dont konw..gove me evrything that u can think of..PLZ! any makeup tips?
I do not have much tips but:

    1. For oily skin, oil mattifier is a MUST! Not only does it reduces shine for 7 hours but it makes your face transfer-proof the whole day so your makeup stays on your face not your boyfriend's shirt.

    2. If you are going to a special event where there are going to be lots of pictures, take a picture of yourself with a digital camera, with both flash on and flash off, so you can know how you'll look in the cameras. Some makeup tends to look great in real-life but ghostlike in cameras. So take a picture first, that way you won't be surprised and can make any changes to your makeup as necessary.

    3. When concealing, the fingers are the best tool (unless you are using a loose powder concealer) because it warms up the concealer making it less cakey and blend easier.BEAUTY tips that people probobley dont konw..gove me evrything that u can think of..PLZ! any makeup tips?
Okay well first big tip is that natural beauty is the best! And it's best when you can't even tell you have make up on. Let your natural beauty shine through!! Best ideas to do is:

    1. If you have zits/blemishes, use a foundation the exact color as your skin and dab it on the areas. (Do NOT use concealer for blemishes, it's always a color a bit lighter than your skin so it causes your blemish to stand out more!)

    2. Then use a powder that's the right shade for you.

(p.s. if you're a teenager, foundation before powder is definitely not necessary)

    3. Then do a thin line of eye liner - smudge as desired

    4. Then do a light eyeshadow, no need to be dramatic if you just want natural beauty. (but shimmers are appropriate for teens)

    5. Then add mascara on the top (and bottom if desired)

    6. Then some blush (if it's the right color)

    and you're set!!

    remember, less is more :)
-Mix liquid highlighter/bronzer into your liquid foundation. Amazing glow

-Add some slight shimmer to the tip of your nose. Brightens your face

    -Highlighting your browbone adds demension

-Always check your makeup in different lighting to see if it looks too cakey/gross

-DONT be afraid of colorful makeup! Any age can wear it, doesnt have to be super neon, but light purples look pretty.

-Wear whatever makeup makes YOU happy. Ignore the hateful comments. Who cares if you wear too much makeup (I know i wear too much!)

-Application is KEY! I dont care if you spend $70 for a foundation, if it looks streaky, it will look horrible no matter what. Invest in amazing brushes.

theres way more but i cant think lol
Use cleansers that are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (won't clog pores).

Buy some of those oil blotter sheets that you can dab on your face during the day to take the oil off your face.

If you use a liquid foundation, change to a mineral make-up. That will be better for your skin and alot of them have an SPF 15 in them to protect your face from the UV rays.

If you have blemishes, use Neutrogena or Almay because they have good products for the problem areas on your face.

Use a sheer blush on your face and make sure you use a powder blush.
Astringent in seriously the best thing in the world for oily skin. Wash your face two or three times a day and use astringent the same amount. Your skin will feel tight and tingly after each use, such a good feeling.
    I think literacy is beautiful.

  • How to get rid redness under eyes without using makeup and a lot more beauty more needed!?

My undereyes are seriously red and I always look so tired and old (I'm a teenager) and I shouldn't look so dull and old. The weather is really cold which is really bad for my skin because it's shedding dead white skin cells regardless of which face wash I use (Dove facial cloths with Vitamin E) and moisturizers (one is cocoa butter (for night) and the other is to gradually even out skin discoloration. When I put cocoa butter on it sort of burns/ itches really bad (basically this happens when I put any moisturizer on because it's so dry(my face is usually red all over rather than just my cheeks %26amp; my undereyes (from sleep deprivation I suppose). So my questions are how do I get rid of the redness and line under my eyes (be aware I do not have undereye bags, quite the opposite just long lines that reach down somewhere past the end of my nose (but farther away) so they're really bad, also how to fix the problem of seriously dry skin and remove the dead skin cells, how to keep my hair moisturized and non-frizzy %26amp; bouncy when I wake-up in the morning. I know it's a lot of questions but if you have the answers to any of these your answers would be greatly appreciated. have you tried using aloe vera? the minerals in it are suppose to be very soothing for the skin. i wouldn't try using any old cream, it could be an allergic reaction or infection. my opinion is to go see a doctor to and to find out what the problem is. As for the dry skin, i use the St. Ives exfoliate for my skin. the sand in it really opens up my pores and it feels great. use this once a week to get rid of dry skin. Also, the St. Ives moisturizing lotion keeps my skin nice and moist.

    I hope this helps!
I use Artistry products for my dry skin on my face %26amp; love it!

Is it bad to wear a lot of makeup, and be obsessed with beauty.?

I've been wearing makeup since 10 years old, started with Mum's old mascaras and now I'm 22 years old and studying Beauty Therapy and I use oh so much makeup/skincare products. I use microdermabrasion, pedis/manis, mud baths, exfoliation, face wash, fake bake, face makeup, I go running, hair care... the whole works. I dress fairly plainly, mainly just jeans/denim skirts or shorts and singlets ... but I love the whole makeup thing. I just want to know if its bad to wear so much makeup? I could talk all day about skincare and makeup. And I want to help other people with their makeup as well. I'm a 22 yo Caucasian female. Is it bad to wear a lot of makeup, and be obsessed with beauty.?
if it makes you happy, and is not causing any problems in ur life, its okay.Is it bad to wear a lot of makeup, and be obsessed with beauty.?
Well, I think the only way to answer that question is by posing another: how much of your day is dedicated to your makeup routine or shopping for makeup? Is makeup and skincare all you talk about? If you answered more than an hour and a half (and i'm being generous with that, cuz it takes me 5 minutes for my makeup) and you can't remember the last time you talked about something other than makeup, I'd say it is a problem.
well if its natural its good, but if its synthetic its very very bad for you, and could cause cancer! i suggest using something like the delizioso skincare makeup, cause its all natural

Does being in love with makeup indicate a career in Beauty Therapy?

Based on this information about myself, do you think I will suit a career in Beauty Therapy? I wear makeup every day of my life, and I am constantly fussing over my appearance. I use fake bake, pedicures, manicures, face creams, face wash, have been known to cover myself in mud, I go running everyday. I take care of my hair. I am pretty much obsessed with makeup! I've recently taken up a course in Beauty Therapy as I hope to one day work in day spas. I could spend all day chatting to people about makeup and hair, and I'm quite a people person. I want to be able to make other people feel good about themselves. I am a 22 yo Caucasian female.Does being in love with makeup indicate a career in Beauty Therapy?
Well just because you're like that doesn't necessarily mean that you're gonna definitely get a job in beauty therapy. But I think you would do great in a job like that. You sound like you're extremely dedicated.Does being in love with makeup indicate a career in Beauty Therapy?
NO. doing if for other people is very different from narcissim (being self obsessed and superficial)

cosmotology is NOT a glamourous career

How to makeup your eyes like arab beauty instead of look gothic?

My friend have white skin, dark hair and quite skinny. she like the makeup style of arab actresses such as nancy ajram, Claudia lynx or anabella hilal. so my friend use black eyeliner following the arab women. but when people seen her with eyeliner they find she looks gothic not the arabs. which she dosen't like it at all to look gothic. she wanted to makeup her face to look natural and elegrant like cleopatra not the gothic zombie. How to makeup your eyes like arab beauty instead of look gothic?
Look at the video on you tube , just click on site below, it'll automatically start it's all arabian women w/ make up, this might help, they are very pretty, it only shows their faces wl makeup. I think you'll like this sight. The second site you can check out too! Arabian Miss America, you can see how her makeup looks too. I was trying to find pictures w/ them w/ make up on.Couldn't really find any, but Utube shows them better. :0)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2鈥?/a>How to makeup your eyes like arab beauty instead of look gothic?
I have the same problem -

the only difference is that I AM half arab!

Sadly, I seem to have gotten all my mother's Scottish genes and I'm very pale and naturally blonde (however I died my hair dark).

I think she should try a dark brown eyeliner instead. Arab woman have darker skin, and therefore can pull off black eyeliner without looking gothic, but if your friend has pale skin then it won't look the same on her.

She needs to make sure she doesn't go overboard. I know Arab women usually wear quite a bit of makeup, but their faces can handle it and it looks nice.

Try using a dark brown liquid liner on the top eyelid, then a dark brown eyeliner pencil under the bottom lashes. Using a mixture of black and different shades of brown eyeliner will soften the liner and make eyes appear fuller.

Arab women either use a really dark lipstick or a pale one. If your friend is pale, then I'd recommend going for the pale lipstick as her face might not be able to handle the dark eyes and lips.

Hope this helps a bit! :)
with the eyeliner, make sure they aren't putting too much. to avoid that, develop skill with liquid eyeliner and wing it out at the top and bottom even. also, apply the liner to the skin located above the bottom lash line..that extremely narrow flat part, which will definately make her look more arab. i'm only half arab and i do that to fit in with my billion cousins when we're at some girl's party i don't know.
As others have indicated, she needs to use lighter colors and go easy on the application. She should probably try varied shades of brown or gray depending on her coloring and see if those colors work better for her. It's possible to achieve the look, but she just needs to experiment a bit with her colors.

    Best wishes!!!!!!!!!!
put a tinted moisteriser or bronzer so skintone is not to pale

dont use black use a brown or a grey you can still put a lot on but it wont give an gothic look dont smuge it use a pencil and on outsides of your eyes use liquid .

    hope this helps.
Its because she hasnt got the same facial structure/skin tone.

Some people just look good in dark makeup while on others its wayy to much.
don't put 2 much eye liner......

  • How much does a beauty consultant charge per hour? if they will be the makeup artist for a wedding.?

It varies greatly depending on what company/clinic/spa, etc. they work for, how many in the party, how complicated you want to get and if you want them at the wedding site or go to their place of business. Best chance for a good rate is to use a spa or beauty salon that can do the bridal party hair and makeup. They usually offer a package deal that way which is less expensive. Best advice is to shop around. Many places will do a free bridal consult so you may be able to actually try out the services before you commit to one or the other. Good luck and congratulations! How much does a beauty consultant charge per hour? if they will be the makeup artist for a wedding.?
Mary Kay does free consultations. Usually for an occasion like a wedding, they may charge you a small flat rate. The price depends on the consultant.

Does makeup detract from or enhance natural beauty?

Er,.....you don't need it.Does makeup detract from or enhance natural beauty?
Depending on the application and amount used, it can do both. The key is to use as little as possible and highlight the area you want to make more noticeable. For example, with your gorgeous lips, I'd keep the eyes and cheeks more muted and use a more pronounced lipstick.Does makeup detract from or enhance natural beauty?
If there's enough make-up, that you can visibly notice it's there, then that's too much...unless you're performing as a clown!

If there's just a little enhancement, that you don't even notice it, yet it provides a cleaner, sharper, ';look';, then that's the right amount!
Make up %26amp; natural beauty are oxymorons. Make-up cannot enhance natural beauty. They can't exist together. Once you apply make-up the ';natural'; beauty is gone. It can't enhance it: it can only remove it.
I personally think that women don't need makeup. I prefer my wife not wear it because I think she's so much more beautiful without it, but I don't complain when she wears it cause it makes her feel better about herself.
It can enhance when applied properly,

but when applied too much it definetely detracts :S
I think it's pretty gross when people cake it on. But a little concealer to tone down an angry red pimple or a light dusting of glitter for a night out on the town are things I would consider enhancements.
Real natural beauty is inside you. deep-within.
Enhance, if done right! Otherwise, detract.
ENHANCE I think all females should wear makeup
    Depends on how it's applied...
enhance, as long as it's not too much that's put on.
    It can do both.
    gnaw
I'm not to into chick with make up. Then again some just need it.
depnds on how much n what colors u use i guess

    Beauty with brown eyes...what makeup?

    Hey,

I just wanted to ask what kind of eyeshadow/eye makeup goes best with black(well, very dark brown) eyes?Beauty with brown eyes...what makeup?
I have really dark brown eyes. Almost black. I love wearing green or blue eyeshadow. They really bring out my eyes. I wear black eyeliner often too. I noticed that if I only wear black eyeliner, you can really see the brown-ness of my eyes.Beauty with brown eyes...what makeup?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxGEfhLdh鈥?/a>

    This look!
    I use brown eyeliner.

%26amp;%26amp; A brown sparkly eye shadow.

    It makes it look natural.(:
Purple eyeshadows look really nice on dark brown eyes. ( I have dark brown eyes too). ...Certain greens also work well.

I use a black liquid liner on the upper lashline, and a black eye pencil on my waterline.

White on the waterline would also help make your eyes pop.
BLack liquid liner I think looks good. Also black, grey, silver, brown, and gold eyeshadow look great.
I have brown eyes, and green really makes them pop.

Gold and green actually make my eyes look lighter.

If you pair your eyes with darker colors then they may appear darker.

    Also, colors like blue and orange generally tend to ';clash.';
Grey, pinks, tans... even blues and greens. Dark brown eyes can pull off most colors.
You know how everything goes with the color black in cltothing and such... well everything can go with black-brown eyes.

But it want them to really pop, get a silver or dark green.

    :)
Basic cream, beige, tan, taupe, dark brown and chocolate brown are better tones for brown eyes that just plain brown.

Amber, mahogany, copper and gold also look stunning, but only when used lightly as a highlight or accent for other tones.

Blue eyeshadow looks better with brown eyes than any other eye color. thoughdon't overdo the blue, take advantage of the complete array of blue accent color, such as turquoise, navy, baby or crystal blue.

Green can match well with brown eyes, especially if your eye color leans towards a hazel hue. Stick with smoky greens, such as khaki, olive or forest green to preserve a sultry look. Use jade, grass or lime green in small amounts to makes your stand out not reallya great look for the office but great for nights out on the town

Haha i love make up lol!

i dont like all the eyeliner on the first two but the 3rd photo woweddddd me... you look amazing haha.. i love the make up what did you do?

so yeah thats my favorite pik lol, but its not as if you wear loads of blusher and stuff, its only really your eyes that have a lot of make up on.

i cant say that your prettier without it cause i havent seen a pik but wow your certainly beautiful with it!Am i the type that needs makeup? i just dont see natural beauty!
You just need a little more practice! I like your eyeshadow in the third picture but you really need to blend it more, especially in the last pic. Harsh lines don't really look good. So just practice blending girl! Also, tone down the mascara, it looks way to clumpy. When you wear black eyeliner around your eye try going over it with black eyeliner and blending it out to soften the look. It doesn't make you look older. Even if it did, who cares, if you like wearing makeup don't stop!
you certainly don't ';need'; makeup, you would be beautiful without it, in fact compared to what you're wearing now, you would look a lot better without it.

however, makeup can be fun and can help you feel good about yourself, so there is no reason to see it as something bad. you just need to tone it down! less mascara, you want your lashes to look long and full, not fake. similarly much less eyeliner (if you need it at all). don't pile on foundation etc, even if your skin isn't perfect, i think that natural skin shines through better then any product. only accentuate one feature at a time, so either eyes or lips, not both. you can wear bright red lipstick, but then go with very light, or no eyeshadow. or colourful eyeshadow and some clear gloss.

just don't pile anything on, go light with blush, bronzer, eyeshadow etc. makeup should enhance your features, not cover them up! if you feel like you can't leave home, or feel beautiful, without makeup, then that's a problem, maybe you need to give it a rest for a while and learn to love yourself as you are.
    as a beautitian i hav 2 tell u that u naturally very beautiful.as i tell my clients i hav 2 tell u also.dont use/live with ur makeup 4 a long time.

u just use dark colour lashes like red brown gold etc;dont use light or mettalic colours.as ur lips r to small use a lipliner 2 draw a bigger lips and give lipstick only through brush not directly.use lipstick colors like red which is dark not colours like pink which is light.apply only a little of dark blushes.ur eyebrows are too thin 4 ur colour so u better try a eyebrow pencil or a eyebrow shapier.but my opion is u better don't makeup ofen u may lose ur natural beauty. any doubt clarify with me.
Wow all that make up makes you look 25,

girl you are soo gorgeous and you have soo much natural beauty!

If you want to wear make up i would suggest you just wear mascara to bring out your beautiful long lashes.

    wow your soo gorgeous..

like seriously...i wish i was as pretty as you.

and when you wore less make up your were even gorgeouser!
well i was brought up with the saying ';less is more';. i belive in wearing makeup to bring out your natural beauty and to cover up any bad spots. so yes i think most ppl nee makeup and that includes you but you do seem to go over the top with the eyes. try something a little more natural. by the way you need to practice your camera smile coz its pretty scary, otherwise your kinda pretty.
you don't really need that much makeup your eyes are very pretty you don't a lot of eyeliner or mascara.

In the last pic you look like you are 30 yrs old and you should try softer colors.

dump all the heavy eye makeup or at least tone it down it makes you look old your family is right.
omgshh. what are u talking about?! ur pretty already! i think u wear too much makeup. if u feel better with make up on, then just go for something light and natural.. dont go too heavy with the eyeliner. just maybe a little bit, and some mascara cz it'll really open up ur gourgeous eyes! and maybe some blush and lip stain. :) dont overload! ur gawgeouss just the way you are.
Cant answer that question because none of the pictures show how you look naturally. Your makeup is really bad, btw. It looks like you put it on with a butterknife.
i think you should wear as much make up as your wearing in the 3rd picture. it's not too much like the last one...

but i think you look nice. i don't think you really need that much make up
i think u are very pretty and have alot of natural beauty i think if u need make up eyeliner, mascara.blush thats about all u need or just a little lip gloss
I just think that you wear too much makeup. Thats their way of telling you that its way too much. Just tone it down a bit and they'll stop complaining.
Gawd, what a horrifying grin. Otherwise, I like you better without the make-up.
okay well the last pic wa too much i think, but the other ones was like i use to wear my make up! And im 14!!! And if u are 18 i really dont think thats somethimg ur parents still have to decide :)
    you do look older made-up

but it looks like you'd be quite pretty without make-up

  • I want to be beautiful, a real beauty, is there anything i can do, given that i cannot afford makeup and all?

Beauty comes from the heart! people say that Paris Hilton is beautiful but, have you heard her mouth! YUK! You take care of your heart and soften up then the inner beauty will become evident outside. You must first love yourself before you can show it. I have met some of the most beautiful woman on the planet. Woman who aren't cover girls but men would just die to have them. Woman who truly LOVE but aren't the most georgeous woman out there nor would be on a magazine cover. I long for a woman of that true depth and real beauty. Don't worry about the physicle. That will take care of itself after you take care of the inside. Look! You can be the hottest looken babe out there but bet so ugly! For example, I love Latin woman. I look at actresses like Selma Hyak, Angelina Jolie, and Penelope Cruz. Yes they look absolutly georgeus to me but I wouldn't touch them with a 100 foot pole! Why, because I watch carefully and listen and the stuff that comes from their mouths and what they do with their life off screen speaks volumes to me. The Characters Angelina Jolie plays seem scary to me. A power mad woman who dominates everything, YIKES! Do you see what I mean? Why do you think so many Hollywood marriages do not last. Oh they look good together, so called perfect people, but, what about their real heart?

Who cares about make up if your heart is a real lemon!

I'd rather have a woman in my life who maybe wasn't the absolute barbie doll ladie but had the true inner beauty of a woman who knew really how to love completly. You touch on that and people will notice! Real beauty speaks volumes. People notice the heart far more than your Hiney! I know i would!I want to be beautiful, a real beauty, is there anything i can do, given that i cannot afford makeup and all?

I want to be beautiful, a real beauty, is there anything i can do, given that i cannot afford makeup and all?
There is one thing you can do.

Keep your skin as clean and blemish free as possible.

Don't scratch, pick, burst or otherwise abrade your skin when you have insect bites, wounds or pimples. When you damage your skin, they always leave a trace- a scar, a pock mark, discoloration. All of these detract from the beauty of healthy skin. And one hallmark of a beautiful woman is glowing, blemish-free skin. And this is all your skin, not just your face.
Beauty needs no make-up. Keep physically fit, love yourself and your body and you will be found to be beautiful by someone.
Do the things that make u feels beauty, and happy. Than u are beauty.
True Beauty comes from within. All the makeup and clothes in the world won't truly make a difference.

The first step is to accept and like yourself for who you are.
Tom me, nothing is more beautiful than the truth and being an individual. Just be your own beautiful self.
everyone will tell you that true beauty comes from within , its true but the world we live in dont allow for that to make much of a difference. most men will look right past a plain looking woman one without fancy make up and cloths. They dont know what they are missing . a woman like you whom cares about herself and the way other people see her Is already a beauty to a man that is worth your time.

Whats with all these questions about makeup and things.. whats wrong with natural beauty?

YawnWhats with all these questions about makeup and things.. whats wrong with natural beauty?
Sometimes you need an extra boost of confidence...especially if you have acne or other skin problems. I suppose this question comes from a person who is bored with makeup because they have good skin...just as this answer comes from a person struggling with acne for more than 10 years!Whats with all these questions about makeup and things.. whats wrong with natural beauty?
    everything
Humans like to enhance their best features. It's found all over the world, really. The idea of how to do it varies from culture to culture, but it's the one thing you'll find everyone likes doing.
I agree; I call makeup, ';war paint';.
NOTHING'S WRONG WITH NATURAL BEAUTY...IF YOU HAVE IT
I don't know.....some girls think it makes them look cooler.
There is nothing wrong with natural beauty. It enhances the beauty you already have while helping eliminate blemishes. I have just started wearing makeup and it makes you feel better about yourself and have more confidence!
i don't know about anyone else but sometimes we might look tired or not feel so good so it's nice to have a little something to help us get through our day a bit more comfortably
    b/c some peoples natural beauty sux. they arent even pretty, but when they put on makeup they become pretty, (kinda like me i guess) and my friend says ';if everyone didnt wear makeup, then everyone would think of themselves pretty because they dont have anyone to compare themsleves to.'; ';but if everyone did wear makeup, nobody would b ugly, it works all the way around';
Unfortunately, there are not a lot of ';natural beauties'; out there. A little make-up can enhance what you have.
    makeup should enhance ur features
Natural beauty im all for it but not everyone can do it!Some people could not go out in public an feel comfortable without makeup were as some like me who wear it very rarely could care less about lookin fake!
MAKEUP makes you look pretty, but i guess natural is okay also
I totally agree....natural beauty should beat everything else. If you have to put makup on to impress a guy, then it's pointless, because he's going to have to eventually see you without it.....
i really dont know but I think that natural beauty is the key! But other girls think that it makes them mor beautiful.

High school beauty advice: Part 2 Makeup?

I'm 16 years old and I'm going into my Junior year.

I really need some beauty advice. I have golden blonde hair %26amp; bright green eyes.

First, I have NO fashion sense or anything. My friend was the one that helped me pick out my current clothes and hair style. The reason I'm asking on here is because she has moved away.

I have green eyes that I would really love to play up. But I have no idea how to. I have fairish skin and golden blonde hair.

I went online to covergirl.com and it told me a few things to buy but I would really like more help. I want to look pretty, not trashy.

I have horrible under-eye bags that I would love to get rid of or cover up.

I have a few pimples on the center of my forehead.

I also have TONS of blackheads on my nose that I can't get rid of.

What do you suggest I buy? I want to look natural but pretty. Remember all the stuff must come from Wal-Mart.High school beauty advice: Part 2 Makeup?
You sound like a pretty girl. To start with, wear a foundation that matches your skin the most then rub this in all over your face blending it into your neck, then get a concealer and rub it in under your eyes to cover up any darkness under your eyes. With Green eyes you should buy a gold or bronze eyeshadow and put this across your eyelids, this will bring out the colour of your eyes, I also suggest you put a black eyeliner on your waterline to also bring out the green of your eyes.

Buy some bronzer or blusher and rub this along the cheek bone to bring out your face shape. Get a natrual pink or clear lipgloss for your lips. Maybe you should play around with your hair and see what style suits you best, E.g, Bangs, Curls or straightened. For blackheads i suggest Clearasil, just look around the supermarket and see what you can find.

    Good Luck and I Hope I Helped :) x

None, she's much too young and her face is cute. No make-up is always prettier...well for some people but her no, don't wear any.Any beauty advice for her? (makeup)?
you are very pretty and i love your freckles. i used to hate mine, but now that i am 20 i have learned to appreciate them and i think they are pretty. so just incase you don't like the way you look, you will grow into your looks and love them eventually. sooner the better though...i promise!

i would say curl lashes and apply mascara. maybe a light pink or peach blush. other than that, you can probably full off any look. and use a spf moisturizer before applying any makeup. sunscreen is soooo important!!!

if you like looking at videos on how to do makeup and stuff here are some.

go to meet mark at the top of the site, then find a rep., then type BEANS for my last name, PA for the state and 19530 for the zip code. you can ask me any questions or concerns about skin care and beauty and also about mark products if you would like. it doesn't have to be about mark products though. i have tried a lot of different skincare products and makeup and even some my dermatoligist recommended and i know what works and what doesn't. so let me know.
    You mean YOU?

Yeah, it's not just a coincidence that the avatar looks like the girl in the pictures.

Okay, YOU have a lot of natural beauty.

    Beauty tips?

-Mascara. Thicker eyelashes would make you look even more pretty.

    -Eyeshadow

-Pluck your eyebrows. They need a wee bit more shaping

-And, most important, NEVER wear ABERCRMOBIE AND FITCH OR HOLLISTER. EW.

    Okay, byee (:
you're so pretty!! (i love your freckles)

-use an eyelash curler. it may hurt at first, but it's really amazing

    -lengthing mascara

-since u have freckles it's hard for u to find makeup w/out covering them up. so its important u have great skin!! use a home made mask once a week (google search some good masks. maybe go w/ an oatmeal mask)

-wash ur face 2x a day (clean %26amp; clear is a great brand)

    -moisturize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can think of anything to say, shes a beauty !! ;D
maybe some eyeliner and not too much mascara. :)

She should show her teeth some more unless they look disgusting.

but No make-up looks just as great. :]

    and very pretty freckles.
My advice is don't change anything, she is beautiful.
a light foundation brown eyeliner and sum lip gloss thats all she needs

ps shes very pretty and that dress look awesome on her:)

Natural Beauty...is there a makeup look?!?

I was looking for something that looks like I have a bit of makeup on but I just want it to look natural.

    Here are some things about me:I have hazel/brown eyes,auburn hair,and pale skin,with acne.(damn that)

For example, what kind of powder should I use on my face?

And will it just fade away?!

Any suggestions? And it has to be affordable.

Thank you so much!Natural Beauty...is there a makeup look?!?
Mineral Makeup is the best thing fo racne prone skin. If you want natural you need to check out Faerie Organic. Someone here at yahoo answers recommended them to me, I tried their free sample kit and it made a huge difference in my skin. My face has cleared up a lot and I even get compliments now (which is funny since I have acne prone skin) the best I can describe their minerals is they are all natural, good for your skin, they are light, airy, cover very well, and leave a dewy glow. Bare escentuals contains a mineral called bismuth oxychloride which has a high allegry rating and is not exactly great for acne prone skin as it ecentuates blemishes because they are very shiny. I have used them in the past and didn't like how I looked greasy. I got faerie organics sample kit in their celebrity airbrush finish and I love it. You need to check it out. http://www.faerieorganic.comNatural Beauty...is there a makeup look?!?
yes there is, i've actually found video tutorials from youtube www.videojug.com, the smashbox website, bobbi brown, and the estee lauder website.

they call it different names like everyday makeup or the classic look.

when it comes to powder use a sheer formula or mineral makeup.

bare escentuals is having a 10 day (foundation) give away foundation samples. just pay the shipping fee. everyday minerals give away sample kits that has 3 foundations, 1 concealer, and 1 face color either an eyeshadow or a blush. also, they make you choose the colors or shade you want on your sample kit that way you can choose the best shade for your skin. meaning they don't shove their colors on to you in their sample kits. both of these brands of mineral makeup have a great range of colors and shades to suit most of our daily needs, in your case you are asking for a very natural minimal barely there look. i really like that barely there everyday look, too because i am very pale so i need some kind of make up to give me a healthy glow. bee royal sell samples of their foundation, it's packaged in sachets that way if you don't like the color, you don't end up with a bottle of foundation you won't use ever again.

if cheap is what we need, then try out the samples, just pay the shipping and since it's sample size, if it doesn't work out then it isn't such a waste or an investment since you got it for free.

    Beauty pageant hair and makeup???

It's Miss Greek, at my college so it's not big, but i still want to win, and do well lol! I was wondering, what my make-up should look like because of the lights on stage, and should i have my hair down and curled on the ends and volumized, or in an up-do, My dress is a halter, but my hair is about 3-4in below shoulder length. I also have swim wear. and what should I wear for the interview part...which is on stage i think, or if it's not what should i wear?? lol thanks a lot!Beauty pageant hair and makeup???
how about you just skip it and go the library and study to get a good education....you know, what colleges are for.....Beauty pageant hair and makeup???
It's best to have a makeup artist and a hairstylist with you @ the pageant. Your makeup should reflect your attire and your hairstyle as well. For makeup try to hire someone like a Mary Kay or Avon rep for the evening. Due to the lighting the makeup should range from natural to formal based on the attire. For the halter dress, you want to expose the back so have an up-do [like a bun] with a few strands hanging around your face and neck. For the swim wear competition, try more simple style like the back flipped [charlie's angle] or maybe straight and teased a little. For the interview part, the classic style is body wave however a side part with the bangs smooth and the back in a french roll will be great. Make sure that the style will go great with the tiara. For more ideas click on the following link: http://www.pageantrymagazine.com/

    Good Luck!
okay as far as makeup goes idk, not to heavy, foundation a little bit of bronzer, nude/pinky lip stick, flase lashes so your eyes can be seen from the audience, whiten the teeth, skin colored eye shadow, eye liner but not too heavy. as far as hair goes, i would leave it down, curl the ends and tease the crown! big hair is always better for beauty pagaents, but im from the south lol so im like n love w/ big hair. as far as the interview section wear almost like business attire. be conservative and classy like a pencil shaped skirt that comes to the knees and pumps and a button down blouse or a classy sundress might even work! and dont forget the pearls!

Best advice I can give you is to go to YouTube and look up panacea81. She makes the most awesome tutorials for putting on eyeshadow...tons of different color combinations...and she has the most beautiful green eyes!Makeup for a green-eyed beauty?
Honestly I've seen that lining your eyes with plum colored eyeshadow ((using an angled brush)) both on top and bottom looks so beautiful on green eyes. Try and and you'll see. It's one thing to picture it and another to see it for yourself.
I have green eyes they look just BOLD in light blues, greens, and silvers. Wearing either a dark brown or black eyeliner on the top [thin] with a small wing on the end looks great. By wing I mean the line goes out past your eye. Goodluck!
My friend has green eyes and she swears by plums and other shades of purple. Her eyes always pop too. Purple tends to bring out green eyes.

Stage performance make up is similar to regular make up. The difference is when you are performing on stage you need your face to be seen. If you don't apply your make up right for a performance you will look pale/washed out and your face will blend into the light.

The first step to applying stage make up is to start with a clean moisturized face. Put foundation over you entire face and neck . A creme-based make up works well because it will cover everything and provide a skin color to your face. It also will not ';melt'; on stage.

After the foundation you should apply the blush. Using a cream or stick blush will give you long lasting color.

Eyebrows frame your eyes and give expression to the face. Grooming them and giving them definition can brighten your face for a cleaner and more beautiful look. A natural and soft eyebrow look can be achieved by applying brow colors with the help of a short brush with stiff bristles. Eyebrow pencils are sometimes overused and your eyebrows may appear artificial or painted on.

The eyes can be a little tricky. You want to accentuate the eyes with a darker line than usual. False eyelashes are a girl's dream - find some that will augment yours, rather than covering them up. Cutting them a bit too long at the outside could add a sultry, dramatic look. Using an eyelash curler, curl lashes and then apply two coats of black water-proof mascara. Use a cotton swab dipped in eye makeup remover to clean up any mistakes.

Last but not least are your lips. Use a little foundation or concealer on your lips before you apply the lipstick. Line your lips with a dark color and fill it in with matching lipstick.

Your make up needs to be exaggerated in order to show up under the bright lights. Even though it may look like a lot when you are doing it, you will look fabulous on stage. I strongly suggest you practice your make-up before the event.

Your hair should flatter your face. Do you look more elegant with your hair up? Or, if you are the more ';natural'; type, wear it down. Again, experiment with it while you are wearing the dress and jewelry. Either way, you should prepare your hair - both wet and dry. (For more on hair styling, see the web sites listed as sources.)

For the interview, a ';career'; look is best. A classic suit or dress is always good, with closed-toe moderate height pumps in a shade that visually connects to the darker colors of your clothing. If you have ';great'; legs, then your shoes can be a bit brighter. Your makeup and hair should be natural looking and tidy.

Check the web for many more ideas. You will enjoy and remember this day forever, so find the fun in it, and share it :) Don't forget your camera ... lol

    Beauty pageant hair and makeup???
Try for ';subtle stage makeup';...enough that your features stand out but make sure you don't look like a clown. Eyeliner and false eyelashes (practice these before the big night!!) are so SO key! With blush, get your cheek bones, forehead, nose and chin. I like applying it like the number 3 and then a backwards 3 on the other side of the face. I hope that makes sense. And please, please blend your lines! No one likes distracting foundation lines.

Hair: I like the updo because it will show off your shoulders and back which is the point of the halter!

Personally, I think that a skirt-suit gives off a good, professional look for the interview.
Makeup- Stage lights will wash you out and make you look pale. Therefore your makeup should be heavy. Try an evening look. Smoky eyes should be your focal point and everything else should be pretty natural.

Hair- Wavy with different sized ringlets at the bottom. Very simple, but chic.

Clothes- for the interview wear a knee length cocktail dress.
    oooh

go for matte lips, and a beige eyeshadow + tanned skin :)

curl it at the ends (: or in some places, it'll look cute!!

Which makeup brand for a beauty novice?

So I'm 13-a novice at makeup. I've scoured many many sites looking for a good brand to start with. I already own a few makeup products, like CG lashblast(loove it) wet 'n' wild charcoal eyeliner(pretty good, not the best), and hollister lipgloss(smells yummy). But i really just want to find a good brand that I can stick with for now(my teen years). one that's afordable, yet high quality. Right now, I am really likin mark and e.l.f. but i'm not sure which of the two is a better brand for me personally or just in general quality. of course, e.l.f. is cheaper, but is it better?? plz give any advice! thanks!Which makeup brand for a beauty novice?
I personally don't spend a lot on eyeliner. So you could just buy 99 cent eyeliner by Wet 'n' Wild or New York City. I would never buy foundation or mascara from these brands though. You are using a good mascara now. Maybelline has good foundations. If you have breakouts or anything like that, their mineral makeup is good. You can get good bronzers by New York City, which is sold at Target. If you want to splurge, then you could buy a cheek or lipstain by Benefit. I also like the lipsticks by Maybelline. I also love this lip gloss called Amazemint by Cover girl. It is super minty and it has good colors. Also if you want to splurge a little, then go to Sephora. They have nice nail colors made by Sephora too. You can get travel sized perfume that is reasonable there. Congratulations, you are on your way to becoming a makeup junkie like me. I started to steal my mother's makeup at 12. lolWhich makeup brand for a beauty novice?
If you have an acne problem, get Neutrogena oil free makeup.

If you don't have to worry about that stuff quite yet, then i definitely recommend the new Maybeline Colorstay makeup.
A lot of makeup brands, no matter what the price, are hit and miss, meaning some of their products work, some don't.

I like Elf eyeshadows and eyeliners, but would not use their foundation, concealer or blush, for foundation concealer and blush go for Mark, the more expensive brand.

I wear any brand of lipgloss and it works the same, and ELF lipglosses come in lots of yummy flavours and fun colors.

Some of my favorite drugstore finds are:

    Neutral eyeshadows: Covergirl shimmering sands

Lipstick (natural color): Rimmel airy fairy

    Lipbalm: Carmex

    Lipgloss: Rimmel east end snob

    Lipliner: Rimmel east end snob

Bronzer: Physicains formula, all of them are great

Blush: Loreal true match blush in innocent flush, a natural peach shade.

    Hope I helped : )
CG, nutrogena and j.a.n.e are all really good and pretty affordable. you want to also fit your make up with your skin and personality. so look for make up for your skin type (color and maybe oil free or acne control) but also find shadows or eyeliner that fits your personality. you can really use tons of videos off youtube to find different ways of applying make up too.

Those photos are me completely natural, my natural hair wavieness (not straightened) (not the colour - that is highlighted), and my natural face.

I thought people could judge better on natural pictures instead of ones with makeup on (i only wear foundation and mascara about once a week)

Thankyou! :)Makeup, hair and general beauty tips? Pictures included.?
Your beautiful! and natural.Makeup, hair and general beauty tips? Pictures included.?
really depends on what look youre going for...if youre going for sultry/sexy id do eyeliner and mascara, a smudged eyeshadow color, and blush. remember: with makeup for school, the less you can use to bring out your features, the better. dont use it to cover faults (except spots, of course) use it to bring out good stuff! and youve def. got a good ';look' to work with =)
You don't look too old so I will tell you some tips for your age. First apply a little foundation to even out your skin. Lightly, though, not too much. Do a light blush and mascara on the top and bottom lashes. Chapstick or clear lipgloss is perfect. If you want you can do some eyeshadow. I would suggest brown tones. Light on top, darker on bottom.

For hair, you can straighten it if you want or leave it wavy. I personally like a messy bun with a little hair still left down. And a headband if you want.

Mess around with different things and use what you like best.
a shimmery pink/light brown/peach shadow with mascara on upper and lower lashes with a natural lip gloss.. also blush and foundation if needed... you have a natural beauty tho so dont pile on the makeup, leave it more simple.
    hi! im erica!

you should first of all straighten ur hair. and btw i luv ur hair color in that picture. its cute!

you should wear foundation but not much. wat i do is get a paper towel and get it slightly damp. then i put the stuff on the paper towel (about a dime size) and dab the makeup where i want it and rub it in. if u use powder than do watever it is u do. and i say wear some blush.

i think you should wear mascara and curl ur lashes if you have an eyelash curler.

put on some lipgloss and maybe find a cute headband to wear and good luck going back to school! email me!

how about a high tech cyborg model look.
Applying dark makeup to the cheeks will slenderize the face and make it more delicate. Short hair also thins the face (pixie look). The leopard spots used on a Deep Space Nine character also adds an exotic look.

In wardrobe, dark circular splotches on the side will slenderize a character. You can also have cut aways on the side to show skin. Long dresses add height to a character. A fringed hem which gives glimpses of slender legs adds interest.

    Hope this helps.

Wash twice a day with an oil free wash - exfoliate about 3x a week. Day Moisturizer that won't clog pores. Hardcore night cream - if you are going to spend money on products spend it on the nighttime products since that is when your skin recovers and will benefit the most from good products.

Why are we so obsessed with ';beauty'; supposedly gained from makeup?

    this is interesting... ';90% of girls want to change their appearance. Why? Watch this film from Dove.';

    http://www.campaignforrealbeauty.com/

Think celebrities/models look that good in magazines, think again!! Lots of media manipulation!!!!Why are we so obsessed with ';beauty'; supposedly gained from makeup?
I wasn't allowed to wear make up until a couple months ago, and i remeber writing in my journal that for the first time in a long a time.. (cheesey moment..lol) i felt really pretty. I seriously couldn't stop smiling. It's worn off by now.. but i agree... girls really need to feel comfortable in their own skin. Why are we so obsessed with ';beauty'; supposedly gained from makeup?
yeah they are all pretty but look at them without makeup the look ugly as **** and claimed prettyest celbrities calm down n yeah we ua out here have more beuty than them
It's not an obsession. Make-up brings out your best features and hides your worst.
We are not obsessed with makeup. We just like wearing it and talking about it. There is nothing wrong with that. There is also nothing wrong with looking better. I hate when I see a woman that looks like an unmade bed. Women are beautiful and they need maintenance to keep their beauty. There is nothing wrong with enhancing that beauty with makeup.

Gift for my mom for her birthday? Beauty, facial stuff?! Makeup...ect?

My Mom's birthday is coming up on June 22. I asked her what she wanted (in May, to make it less obvious I was buying something for her)

She said she wanted makeup, facial stuff, beauty supplies, perfume, etc,,,

I REALLY don't know anything about makeup and not a whole lot about beauty supplies soo...yeah.

I'm assuming she wants some anti-wrinkle, rejuvinating stuff for the face. She's in her 40's so for the makeup, keep it normal.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

P.S. i'm already getting her a surprise spa tripGift for my mom for her birthday? Beauty, facial stuff?! Makeup...ect?
Sorry it this is too long.. hehe.. just wanted to be the best of help.

For make-up,you could maybe get her something to adjust something she may like less about her features. For examples if she thinks her lips are too thin, a lip plumper, or if she wants longer eyelashes, a special eyelash treatment etc... Try to make it personal, but to be smooth, don't make it seem as if YOU agree that her eyelashes are too small..

In facial creams, I recommend an expensive brand, but that is definitely worth the money: L'Occitane en Provence. They have the 'Anti-Aging Immortelle' line.

    From their site:

    For Mature Skin: Anti-Aging Immortelle

The Immortelle plant grows on the island of Corsica and produces bright yellow flowers which are hand picked and steam distilled to extract the essential oil. L鈥橭CCITANE has extracted this precious essential oil from our own organically grown plants. Our Immortelle products take full advantage of the ant-free radical and anti-wrinkle properties of the plant. After repeated use, skin complexion becomes fresh and radiant, firmer and more elastic. Lines and wrinkles will be diminished and youthfulness restored and preserved.

Then they have their apple%26amp;almond products for preventing wrinkles and age. Shea butter for dry/dehydrated skin. Red rice line for oily skin, olive for more-or-less dull skins, shea%26amp;cotton for sensitive skin.. etc. they have a lot of choice and their products are very good quality. (I recommend their hand or feet cream, a topseller that will make your mother addicted like it did my mom and my friend's mom.)

Beauty supplies I know less about so I don't want to give you bad advice, I guess you could go to a Sephora if you live next to one, and just look at their brushes etc. Though again, Sephora can be pricy.

For perfume you mom might prefer more elegant perfumes, and less light floral and citrus-y. I recommend one of these three perfumes:

-Shalimar from Guerlain Paris. I own one myself and I think it is a perfect scent for if you're going out and want to show off a bit. I have always been complimented on it. It's sexy, elegant, warm, oriental and sophisticated al at once. And even thugh it's a classic smell, I find it's for ALMOSt all ages ( not toooo young either). Bonus: Many women in my family have allergies with perfumes, and this one doesn't give any.

-Opium from Yves Saint Laurent. It's a very woodsy, exotic, very sexy smell. My mom wears it and I think it's a perfect perfume. Though I don't wear it myself, so I couldn't write as much as on Shalimar, it is a wonderful perfume.

-Lastly, I suggest Chanel n.5 though I personally wouldn't wear it, it is a smell for formal nights out and gives you that old-fashioned Parisian irresistible smell. Again, no allergies.

If she wants perfume, she might already have HER perfume, sort of like her 'signature' perfume she always has. You might want to find out and buy it for her if she's running out, or buy her the kit or shampoo/soap.. You'll find something. Maybe go along the lines of a brand she's particularly fond of.

And remember: These things can come very pricy, it's mostly the fact you though about her that counts.Gift for my mom for her birthday? Beauty, facial stuff?! Makeup...ect?
Aw how sweet! I usually get my mom something simple haha. I think it would be a good idea to take her to ULTA or MAC and buy her the make up stuff she wants. I'm pretty sure they have things other than make up. You could even take her to CVS if you wanted. It'd be best for her to actually pick out what she wanted instead of you guessing what she wants.
I would go to The Body Shop. They have a line for mature skin that will help with fine lines and wrinkles. They also have a make up line. If you go in, one of the sales people can help you. They've always been very good with me in suggesting colors, or based on my skin tone and such... They also have creams and lotions and shower gels and such so if you don't know what colors your mom might like, she might appreciate a body butter or something (which is what the store is known for) goodluck!
Go into your local MAC beauty-makeup store and tell them you are looking for something for your mom. They will help you. Make sure you can know what color eyes she has and maybe if she has light, fair, medium, dark skin.
DEFINITELY DEFINITELY get her some Bare Minerals to try!! My mom went absolutely bananas for them! You can buy gift sets online of Bare Escentuals sets through ebay and many other stores or if you have an Ulta nearby, they are also available there and available online through Ulta.
give her a gift voucher so that she can buy things other choice or go to beauty centre you can find a wide array of products to choose from..Aroma,shahnaz hussain, many foreign brands.. You can choose what your mom needs
get her a gift card so she can buy wat ever she wants

Ways to be pretty, like beauty tips. without makeup?

Hi, I'm a little on the chubby side (not much just a little bit), i have dry skin (i use a ton of coconut butter thingy) I have blonde curly hair that tends to frizz and blue eyes.

I actually can't look at myself in the mirror without makeup on without bursting into tears. Every now and then I dye my hair a shade lighter, or get another piercing and I'm ok for a while. But then I get used to what I've done to myself and go back to pure hatred at my reflection. When I'm old enough I'm getting a nose job. Any beauty tips on better skin, better hair etc without all the makeup and hair products. My teachers are saying I wear too much and it apparently isn't appropriate for school :/Ways to be pretty, like beauty tips. without makeup?

So please don't cry about that :)

    well

i don't use any foundation or cover up

    unless i'm hiding a breakout

i use this stuff by neutrogena it's a skin moisturizer that adds a little bit of a summer glow

it's really great to get a little bit of color in your skin with out drying it out

    or clogging your pores

i used to dye my hair all the time

but i stopped for about 4 months because i dyed it back to my natural color and i have no split ends now,

i don't ever plan on dying my hair again

    i say do the same

try a simple eye make up procedure, like a day time smokey eye

there are tonnes of tutorials on youtube

about the piercings take them out

or just keep one on your face, i guarantee you'll like it better
Try exfoliating every once and awhile to remove dead skin, and keep using lotion. It will help your skin look smoother and feel softer. With the frizzy hair thing try putting a leave-in serum into your hair after you shower

    I hope this helps! =)
Sounds like your having self-confidence issues, i think its all in your head, you sound vary pretty to me. make-up isn't a bad thing but your teachers are right. you need to ease up, it might even be whats causing your dry skin. As a guy I don't know much about girls hair.

I hope my answer was helpful.
for the dry skin-elizabeth arden 8 hour cream. im wearing it now coz my face is dry..its amazing!!!!!

John freda-weather works or frizz ease products..i use several and they are amazing! i have curly hair that used to go frizzy if i brushed it and when i straightened it too much but now its silky XD

Do you have spots? if so then go to your doctor and get a cream. if your in full time education its free and more effective then any product ive used. and i didnt even have bad spots just on my t-zone.

if you dont...welll theres lots of things that you might not like. i would suggest long term investing in facials and specifically recommended by an expert for you products. you could go to a dermatologist-which would cost-or some where like boots and there are sometimes couters with the products and they sort yuo out. in the short term i would suggest doing the same and going into boots and getting them to try a light foundation for whatever it is you dont like about your skin. i did and got a really good foundation for uneven skin that looks natural because it is light. and honestly loads of makeup looks awful anyway.

metally ;) -this sounds bad but really does work. look for some pics of really ugly girls online and look at them and say im not as bad as them-it could be worse. you know how people aspire to look ike celebs in magazines? its the exact opposite of that XD and fake it! just look in the mirror and even if you feel like you wanna cry pretend in you head you like it, stand up tall smile slightly and pretend to be confident and you will look prettier.

everyone feels like they look awful at some time in their life. honestly-i have pretty/ugy cycles. for a couple of weeks i will look naturally pretty and then the next 2 weeks nothing i do will help in any way. its horrible.

wow this got long! anyhoo.. good luck %26lt;3 xxx

Should the “Miss Universe” beauty pageant ban makeup, hair dye and beast implants?

The culture of beauty pageants has always been based on the Barbie mentality. The 18 to 25 year old contestants are required to wear expensive evening gowns and spend money on makeup, makeup artists, manicures, pedicures, skin treatments and expensive hair care. Many of the girls change their hair color and almost all of them wear fake eyelashes. A few of the girls are beautiful without makeup but many beauty pageant girls are average looking at best and must have makeup to look good. If hair coloring and breast implants where banned from the Miss Universe pageant and no makeup was allowed during the swimsuit segment the world could what the girls really look like. The girls could wear makeup during the evening gown segment only. What do you think? Does the world deserve to see the girls naturally so we can accurately judge who the most beautiful girl really is? Should the “Miss Universe” beauty pageant ban makeup, hair dye and beast implants?
i agree. there should be no makeup allowed during the swimsuit segment (who wears full powder, false eyelashes, blush, etc to go swimming?). Should the “Miss Universe” beauty pageant ban makeup, hair dye and beast implants?
that is a fantastic idea. finally someone with some substance.
    hahaa what a great idea!
I think implants shouldn't be allowed, but as far as makeup and hair dye goes, I'm not overly concerned. Some makeup is necessary for a pageant... if someone were to go onstage with no makeup at all, the stage lights would wash her out horribly, and she would end up looking far less pretty than she really is. People dye their hair all the time, and some for good reason... I'm 20 years old, I have black hair, and since I was in my early teens my hair has been slowly going white. I'd be laughed off the stage if I showed up with white hair at this age. I think some natural makeup is fine and necessary, but I would like to see the competition move away from plastic surgery and fakeness. Also, while many people laugh at this idea, Miss Universe is not only about beauty. I'm not going to lie and say that it isn't mostly about beauty-- it is-- but they wouldn't do an interview question if it were all about beauty. (And that question really does matter, it isn't just fluff... think Miss Teen USA '07 and one of the answers we heard there, or some of the crazy answers we've gotten at Universe when some contestants chose to go without a translator. You can't say those answers didn't hurt most of them.) Personality and confidence are very important as well. Hope this helps!
    I agree.

My daughter is a teen, and recently for the 2nd time we competed in Miss Tennessee Teen Pageant. The first time we went, I thought they wanted the teens to be natural, and my daughter and I did just that. But once there, we were out of place, because they are just as made up as the Miss Universe pageant. It was ridiculous. This year, well, she was just as made up. I hated to give in, but it is a dream of hers. She is naturally very beautiful, and possibly one of the most beautiful there, but you are correct, a majority of the girls there, without there makeup, were very average looking. I will say the girl that one was naturally very pretty, I was happy that she won. Because she did put on alot of make-up, but I seen her without, and she looked better without the glitz.
If a female wants to use all or any means to get noticed (within reason) why should she not ber able to do so... That being said, how many shows, and events have you seen and been to, where a woman gets a COMPLETE make over, and the final result (s) is that she looks completely different, and why so.... All due to make up and proper usage of same..

That's the trouble with ';modern'; women today.. A good percentage of them don';t wear make up - don't want to, and therefore don't know HOW TO..

And the same holds true for apparel..

Many get up out of bed, wash their face, run a comb thru their ';mane';. put on a pair of ';ratty'; jeans and a tee shirt, and flip flops, and head out the door with the though in mind ';Damned I look good';...!!!

    NO !!!!! You look awful... But do they care..? Nine times out of ten, their thoughts and attitude is ';What more do you want from me, I'm dressed and I'm here..';

Whatever happened to women looking and dressing like women..

Hell, I'm a transvestite, and I'll tell you, I wear better clothes than a lot of g/g s I see ';strutting'; around

when you wear eyeliner, put it on both top and bottom. I would suggest blue - not cheesy blue, but not too dark either. A haristyle...ummm...definetley try a quiff - i think it wil look fab on you! also keep your hair neatly feathered and perhaps layered. You could add light brown highlights to your hair too - it will make it look absolutely gorgeous! P.S you look gorgeous in those pics anyway!Help with beauty advice???hair? makeup?

Beauty tips? HAIR + MAKEUP.. For Going Out.?

im going to a nightclub next week, like i normally do.

but for a change, i just wanna do something different.

i have mid length brown hair, down to the top of my chest i would say. it is quite damaged, but help?

and makeup.. i normally wear foundation, top eyeliner, mascara, pencil eyeliner and lipgloss.

and as for outfit, i would love something slimming.

just a general look that will make me feel great about myself, and maybe others that would think the same too.

id appreciate your suggestions!Beauty tips? HAIR + MAKEUP.. For Going Out.?
aah im such a party girl and i love primping.. so im sure i can rly help you here...

well lets start with the hair...

I use dove shampoo and herbal essences conditioner (condition every time you wash your hair) and then use a hair mask after washing your hair, leave it on for 10-30 min (only do the hair mask once a week).. and then either towel dry your hair, or dry it with the hairdryer on the cold setting... then (depending on your hair type) either flat iron it or get ur curling iron and make a few curls around to make that sexy simple wavy look..

now for the makeup... it seems good except for a couple things.. first off, you should consider wearing base instead of/before foundation, because if your going clubbing, chances are your gonna sweat, and base makes sure your makeup is all intact... second, for your eyes, i suggest you use liquid eyeliner for inside your eyes, cuz pencil eyeliner smudges and it gives u racoon eyes...also about the eyes, you should consider wearing eyeshadow, since you said u only use mascara and eyeliner... and as for lipgloss, you should use a lip stain instead since you'll get thirsty from all the dancing and your gonna be drinking (not neccesarily alchohol, but anything) and that will wash away your lip gloss, so lip stain will save you all those trips to the girls room to fix your lip gloss...

as for the outfit, if you want something slimming, obviously you should get something black or atleast in a dark shade, and short dresses (not ';skanky'; short) make your legs look longer... i think this dress is really good for partying, and i wear it alot when im out at a club:

    http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3033791/0~23…

oh and i know you didnt rly ask about shoes, but just as a tip, make sure to wear comfortable yet cute shoes... although honestly me n my friends usually end up dancing without our shoes and putting them under the table. LOL

oh and if your gonna be wearing accessories, make sure you dont wear anything thats long and can like fly off or something lol...

anyway have tons of fun, and i hope this helpsBeauty tips? HAIR + MAKEUP.. For Going Out.?
I get like that all the time, i like to look different sometimes.

I would definately suggest getting something nice and bright, flourescent colours are in at the moment. I wear a slimming pants underneath dresses and stuff to pull my figure in(they take off a dress size easily) you can get them from primark for £5.

As for your hair, i always wear mine down and get bored of it so i often curl it with my straighteners which do a better job than any curlers i've owned.

Also try and match your make up with your outifit. For example i bought a flourescent orange top which i am wearing at the weekend with dark blue jeans, mint green shoes and a mint green bag. I have some orange eye liner and mint green mascara

Just adds a bit of funkiness and colour

The pic on the top right is amazing

    Good Luck :)
    Hi Jadee!,

Hair, if it is damaged then I recommend shampoos and conditioners that repair damaged hair, I use Pantene.

Makeup, I think that what you put on is okay.

If you feel good about your-self then that's great!

I find blue or green eyeshadow really helps to make the brown in my eyes stand out. But you have to be careful with it, since it can make you look like a throwback from the disco era.

Shiny silvers also work. Can the beauty expert or anyone suggest a makeup style for asian gal w/ brown eye, dark straight hair%26amp;tan skin?
well, i'd go with purples to bring out your eye color, or an orange to go with your skin tone, all in all, go with bright colors, like red, orange, purple, pink, you'll never go wrong! lol...or you can go with smokey black for a night out!
    this looks good on anyone!!

If you have your air wet at night, sleep with it tied back. In the morning you can style it better.

    Hope this helped (:
Use a concealer one shade darker than your foundation. Using a lighter concealer simply highlights your blemish.
avacado and egg yolk and a tablespoon of olive oil!

Amazing for hair ends and nails !

You're 14 so I would keep it simple, classy %26amp; clean looking. Go to your beauty supply store and buy a powder bronzer %26amp; a blush brush. Not a smaller type blush brush, but one on the larger size. Ask the store help what color bronzer they think would work for you to give you a little glow. Clean your face nightly with a mild face cleanser %26amp; apply a face mask every 2 weeks to keep your good skin good. This will keep your pores clean without drying out your face. I would also suggest black mascara to make your eyes pop ... now that you're going to have a nice glow it will give you a nice natural look. Finish it off with either a light brown eye shadow %26amp; a roll on lip gloss (light pink of clear, but shiny) All this should cost you under $35 and will last for months. Good Luck!Daily beauty regime + School Makeup?

Beauty therapy ..contraindications and makeup health and safety?

On discovering that your client has a contra-indication what is the action you should take?

what are the duties under the health and safety work act relating to make up?

THANKS XXXBeauty therapy ..contraindications and makeup health and safety?
well somethings like that can be unsafe depending on the person and their reactions to the process it is very important to be aware of what you are putting on your face because your face is gentle and can be easily messed up. I would not recommend to do any surgical injections to your face tell your client to be careful to much can be very dangerous for your overall health seriously.
