to atart with this is not a smart alick anwer but a secere one take that lovely child and dress her up real nice and take her out on the towm and tell all her friends and yours too that she is your little queen and make her feel she is special after that she will do the rest all buy her self.i am the father of four. two of them little girks and i love them all and if you let a child know that you are real proud of them you will be veary pleasingly surprised.

Should makeup be banned from of the Miss Universe pageant to honor natural beauty?
Many beauty pageant girls look common without makeup. I think less than 10% of beauty pageant girls are beautiful without makeup and fancy clothes. I think Mr. Donald Trump who owns the Miss Universe pageant should ban hair dye and breast implants from the competition. He should also ban makeup during the swimsuit segment. That way we can see the contestants with their natural hair color and natural breast size. We could also see the girl’s faces without makeup during the swimsuit competition. The girls could wear makeup during the opening segment and the evening gown segment. I think it is time for the world to set a new standard of beauty based on what is real. In my opinion we deserve to select Miss Universe based on her natural born beauty. What do you think? Should makeup be banned from of the Miss Universe pageant to honor natural beauty?

I don't need foundation, I don't wear it because I hate it.
My eyelashes are naturally black and my skin is extremely fair, I promise I'm the whitest person I've ever seen.. haha. I only wear chapstick. My problem is, I want to wear eye makeup, but I don't want people to think I am. I have black lashblast mascara and black eyeliner. Use mascara but skip the eyeliner if you want to look like you're not wearing makeup. Make sure the mascara is applied right down to the roots, it will create a line around the eye but look much more natural than eyeliner. If you like eyeshadow, try a neutral color or pink can also look very natural and pretty. Sometimes I use a bit of my blush on my eyelids. Hope this gives you some good ideas! xoxoNatural Beauty. Well, me, i put my mascara on first then i put just a bit of black eyeliner on the inside of my eye, but only in the corners... It makes your eyes look naturally bold.
Another way to explain it would be:
Curl eyelashes and apply two coats of black mascara, then, Line the outer corners of the upper and lower lash lines with black, brown or burgundy eye pencil.

ok, well u can totally tell ur wearing makeup in that pic...my suggestion: tone down the mascara n eyeliner. a little bit of brown eyeliner close to ur lashline and one or two coats of brown mascara is rele all u need. for eyeshadow, try white, pinks, beiges, n golds with a bit of sheen. for more attention, u can use super glittery eyeshadow. my personal fave has 2 be shiseido's hydro-powder eyeshadow in bare pink. it looks natural, has a cool sheen 2 it, is easy to apply n lasts all day.
usually, natural eyes go with a more dramatic lip. so u can use wutever colours on ur lips. (im pretty sure that orange n petal pinks would look rele good on u)

Since I don't have any pics to show you, I'll just have to describe my physical appearance. I have pale skin, big green eyes, and a few freckles. My hair is sort of a dirty/golden blonde. I have sort of a long face, and full but small lips.
Anyway, I'm 16 years old and I'm going to be a junior this year and I really think it's time that I start wearing some makeup. I don't want to wear too much (I've seen the girls at my school and that look is definitely not pretty) but I wanna wear enough to enhance my look.

to enhance your cheeks get a very light bronzer and suck you face in (like a fishy face) apply bronzer to the sucked in part
then apply a soft pink blush to the top part of your cheek blend together.

Start simple, eye liner (light colors no black) lip gloss, mascara, eye shadow, and some cover up/foundation and blush. I know it sounds like alot but its easy and just the basics. okay first, if you have acne i would recommend some foundation but not too much cause that can cause your acne to get worst, if you don't have acne don't even think about foundation you don't need it.
For eyes, I would recommend brown mascara since you have fair skin black would be too harsh,
If you are feeling daring buy some brown eyeliner and just line your top lash line from the middle to the outer ends of your lashes. it will make your lashes appear thicker. for eyeshadow, I would use a light purple to really bring out your eye color. don't out alot on though it will look funny.
for lips just get a nude pink to let your eyes shine. (:

I don't like to wear a lot of makeup either, it's not very pretty... Generally I wear a light, neutral eyeshadow all over my lid and a little bit of highlighter (shimmery off-white) on my browbone and the inner corner of my eye. This will make your face and eyes look brighter and more awake, great for those mornings when you didn't get enough sleep! I usually then use some mascara on the top and bottom, and sometimes a little eyeliner. But be careful with eyeliner! It's so easy to put on too much. I use only a very, very thin line on the top only! Never the bottom.
For the rest of my face I use a tinted moisturizer (basically foundation mixed with face lotion) or a light foundation if i need it. Just put a little on the areas whre you need it, and finish off with a little blush on your cheeks, and you'll look stunning!
For lips, you can leave them plain with a little lip balm, wear a nude pink lipstick/gloss.
You can really play around with your makeup once you get these basics down! Check out Youtube for lots of videos on how to do more intricate eye makeup and such things.
Just remember: If you decide to go dramatic with your eye makeup, keep the lips simple! And vice versa. AKA: Bright red lipstick should be balanced out with a neutral eye. And bright, dramatic eyeshadow sould be balanced with neutral lips.

However, when you are on camera, you must wear make-up due to the lighting. It can blur your face, make you looked washed-out, even sickly. All personalities on TV, new anchors, etc. wear heavy make-up. I agree with the rest, hair dye and plastic surgery should definately be out of the question. I don't think that they should ban makeup at all, but I do think that they wear far too much makeup. The thing with television is that things become accentuated, the lighting reflects off the skin, etc. Makeup is completely necessary on camera. As for makeup being permitted during some parts of the show and not in others.. It's just unrealistic. They would have to put it all on, then take it all off and put on a natural look for the swimsuit part. I understand that looking natural would be better for the swimsuit contest, but they still need makeup for t.v, just like men do.
Unfortunately they would then all look really bad.

I think that would be a great idea. Wearing makeup or not depends on how you look at the situation. If they wear makeup, the makeup could enhance their beauty. If they don't wear makeup, we can see their natural beauty.

However, when you are on camera, you must wear make-up due to the lighting. It can blur your face, make you looked washed-out, even sickly. All personalities on TV, new anchors, etc. wear heavy make-up. I agree with the rest, hair dye and plastic surgery should definately be out of the question. Otherwise, we could all be entered into the pagent if we went and had some work done. Should makeup be banned from the Miss Universe pageant to honor natural beauty?
I don't think that they should ban makeup at all, but I do think that they wear far too much makeup. The thing with television is that things become accentuated, the lighting reflects off the skin, etc. Makeup is completely necessary on camera. As for makeup being permitted during some parts of the show and not in others.. It's just unrealistic. They would have to put it all on, then take it all off and put on a natural look for the swimsuit part. I understand that looking natural would be better for the swimsuit contest, but they still need makeup for t.v, just like men do.
Unfortunately they would then all look really bad.

well im a 19 year old army wife and i do makeup professionally and i get some of the weridest request for makeup some want all out and some want alittle. ive seen people who want to go all out that look so nice without makeup or even just natural colors, look foolish with all the makeup on when i could put that same exact makeup style on someone else who dosent look to great without makeup and they look fabulous. i personally wear makeup when i feel like getting dolled up but i sometimes lay low and feel comfortable in my own skin, its all about what the person feels if they dont wear makeup and are ugly as hell, im sure they know it and for some odd reason just dont care.mask work

okay. a lot of celebrities/non celebrities wear makeup, hair weaves, perms, dyes, etc. all not natural beauty. for there's no natural beauty. wearing clothes, putting soaps, polish, tans, dyes, creams, etc. on us unnatural. so, do you think makeup/hair weaves makes a person beautiful? a lot of our favorite singers such as beyonce, alicia keys, pam anderson, etc. are all airbrushed, dye their hair, some wear weaves, makeup, etc. they don't look the same without it.
i realize some people have skin issues, acne, blotches, scars, cuts, etc. and they wear makeup to cover it up to help their esteem.
as do people with weaves/perms.
but some people become disappointed when your skin isn't as nice as the makeup make it look, or your hair isn't as long as the weave makes it look.
but then again a lot of people don't look good with weave/makeup.

I see where youre going and I totally agree with the girl up there. You have to have something good to start with in the first place. It's not just the make up its their own facial features too. BUT there are some celebs like pam anderson and avril lavigne who Ive seen without makeup and its just bad... but truly, you have to be somewhat pretty already. Im very skilled with applying makeup and I wear lots of eye make up very often, and I sometimes do have blonde hair extensions also. And yes, I do turn way more heads when I'm ';done up..'; But, like I said, you have to have something decent to work with.

Especially when you compare the before and after, less is more and it looks fresher and sexier in my opinion.

i want to be belle, so i need to subtly hint at the character without looking desperate for it. the audition will be on a stage, so colors and makeup that would look good under that sort of light. i also have to do a simple dance in the outfit.

I guess what you can do is to wear your hair in a light pony-tail, let some of your hair stick out, and wear dark and colorful meke-up, but not goth kind make-up since your auditioning for a play, and lastly, apply some face powder to have a lighter skin tone. Those are my tips for you.

If they dont, wear a long yellow flowy shirt, or a casual dress.
Its not so much that you look her part, but that you act her part. Sing out, lots of emotion, look inocent and happy and dont be afraid to overexagerate.. Its theater!!! :)

I guess what you can do is to wear your hair in a light pony-tail, let some of your hair stick out, and wear dark and colorful meke-up, but not goth kind make-up since your auditioning for a play, and lastly, apply some face powder to have a lighter skin tone. Those are my tips for you.

If they dont, wear a long yellow flowy shirt, or a casual dress.
Its not so much that you look her part, but that you act her part. Sing out, lots of emotion, look inocent and happy and dont be afraid to overexagerate.. Its theater!!! :)

I had to go over and check it out for myself and was really wow'ed by the brushes she had. Thye certainly didn't look like one dollar brushes. Now, granted we get better brushes at the dept counter, but OMG for a buck, really!!
Anyway, I'm just curious to know if anyone else had tried it and if so what is your experience with it? Would you buy it again?

I need beauty advice for hair cut color and makeup?
I have long hair probably about 15 inches or so. ( 5 inches past shoulders ) its wavy like vanessa hudgens. And i do not know what to do with it. Its like it just hangs there! And its darker red brown. My bangs are to my chin. I just do not know what to do any more!

2 Beauty Questions: How to make straight hair & makeup last?
Ok, so I have two dilemmas. First of all, when I straighten my hair it never STAYS straight. I use hairspray, but the ends go wavy within a couple hours. Sometimes I'll use ';smoothing milk'; or something by Garnier Fructis or this L'oreal straightening cream on damp hair before, but I see no difference. Any tips or products? Would getting my hair cut and getting my ends thinned out make any difference?
Also, my makeup seems to melt off. I don't mind my face makeup fading as much as my eye makeup. My eyeliner seems to smudge. It's black but always ends up a soft gray and doesn't look like I'm wearing anything. Same with my eyeshadow, it fades too.

with the hair, mine used to be the same way until i found an amazing hair straightener. i now have a chi which was quite pricey, but i got it as a gift. it works miracles!! my hair stays straight, shiny, and never becomes poofy when standing outside all day. i went to a concert in 90 degree humid weather and was outside for 7 hours and my hair still looked great! so, to sum it up buy a chi straightener!
also, the eyeliner you own could have something to do with it. my mac eyeliner seems to fade during the day. i got a hypoallergenic eyeliner by Bourjois and it is fabulous. i apply it on my water line and it stays throughout the school day, so for about 7-8 hrs!

You might want to consider a more expensive eyeliner if it's cheap, but if that's not the case, use your an eyeshadow primer for that and the eyeshadow. It should work. If you settle on an all-over primer then I guess it'll work for the eyes as well as the rest of your face.
I'm thinking you should try those products AFTER your hair dries. And then straighten.

but with makeup, try buying a waterproof eyeliner. the oil from your skin probably causes the makeup to run. or you can invest in some better makeup. mac and sephora offer makeup that last thru out the whole day. theyre a bit pricey, but well worth it :] and for eyeshadow- i feel your pain. mine always ends up in the crease of my eye. but i think using a basecoat will definately help with that. glcuk!
Why don't you try rebonding your hair instead?That way you wont have to worry much about hair ';cracking up';.Or, you can try using straightening shampoo and conditioner,which are designed to keep hair straight.Keep your hair long as the weight of longer hair helps keep it straight.Also,get a good quality straightening iron.Mist both the topside and underside of your hair with hairspray to set your hair.
Alternatively, try a home remedy to keep hair straight. Mix equal parts fresh, grated coconut and lime juice. Massage the mixture into your hair and let it sit for approximately 20 minutes. Rinse the mixture out and straighten your hair as you normally would. The coconut and lime concoction will coat hair shafts, resulting in straighter hair.
Now for your second issue.Before putting on makeup,make sure to wash your face and make sure it is oil and dirt free.This will help the makeup stay on your face.Then,use a good foundation or primer.Do not put on too much product cause this will cause the makeup to slide off your face.As for the eyeliner,dust loose powder around your eyes if you are only using eyeliner,otherwise just put on your eyeshadow and use a waterproof, creamy and highly pigmented pencil to line your eyes.Afterwards, draw over with a liquid eyeliner(i know its a chore for beginners,but you've gotta start somewhere right?).
Use loose powder to set your makeup,and make oil-blotters your best friend.But do not blot too often though!I hope this helps!

Hi! I'm twenty years old and a current college student. I was blonde all my life until I dyed my hair a dark brown/red about nine months ago. I really liked it, but I would like some insight on what to do next. I know that I would rather not go back to blonde (still trying new things), and I want a hair color that would look good with my eyes and skin tone (I'm very pale with light blue/gray eyes). ok i asked a question a while back about why blak women in middle ga don't wear makeup but in ATL and in other parts of the country they do. Well i was told to check the makeup counters and beauty supply stores and take a poll. Well this is what i came up with: the ladies at the clinique,mac,fashion fair(a cosmetics line that caters to black women),and prescriptives. The ladies at the makeup counters said they noticed the same thing. That anytime a black woman buys makeup shes almost always older and black women in that age range buy natural colored makeup(like 50+)....its rarely a younger woman(like teens to 20s). They said they don't know why either. So does anyone have an answer? Plz don't say ';black women don't have as many skin imperfections you can see'; cuz I'm not just talking foundation when i say make up I'm talking mascara,lip gloss,blush,and eyeshadow.I checked makeup counters at the mall and the beauty supply stores where i stay does anyone know the answer?

with her skin color dont do any reds or purples eyeshadows and lite lite pink blush.
dont put the make up on heavy, or it will look trashy. yea that should do!

ok a little bit of a darker foundation or coverup would be better %26amp; some lite mascara , with some light pink lipgloss... dont use dark colors.... maybe a bit of blush %26amp;%26amp; bronzer %26amp; ur all set!

HI there. My mom says That when I turn 14 I can wear as much makeup as I want, because she knows I'll put it on sensibly. So, I'll be turning 14 in half a year. This is what I plan to buy:
MAKEUP:
matte blush
matte bronzer
powder
MAYBE tinted moisturizer
MAYBE brown mascara
clear mascara
MAYBE some brown and/or gray eyeliner, I hate black
light purple and/or blue and/or green liner
Eyeshadow in:
a 4 kit of browns and golds
purple
vanilla
TOOLS:
MAYBE an eyelash curler
q-tips
cotton pads and/or cotton balls
MAYBE makeup sponges, but most likely not
a set of makeup brushes
an eyebrow brush?
Should I
A) save up for a long while and buy it all at once
B) buy everything when I see it, and save it, the more broke version, and also I'll probably end up using it.

Don't worry about foundation since you are young. Foundation should be for people who are a lot older and need to cover up aging skin/wrinkles. I don't use any and I'm 18. Caked on makeup looks bad, trust me.
Tips:
to make eyes appear bigger...I always get compliments on this...
put black eyeliner along top lash line and only on bottom half of lower lash line...white on inner part...not a lot though...just enough to make you look a little bit more awake
if you have blue eyes do the copper eyeshadow and blend with browns...theres a kit of 4 colors...called sand something or another by maybelline...love it..makes blue eyes stand out
curl lashes and apply thickening/lengthening mascara!!!

im really fair too, and black, as much as you say you hate it, brings out eyes on fair skin the best-- truly. and that is a ton! go with the basics! half the time, in the morning, you wont feel like going through the whole process, you'll be too tired. so just go with basic stuff: mascara, eyeliner, concealer, and maybe a light bronzer. but really, bronze skin is going out. so dont over think it or over do it! good luck!

I've looked online a bit because I would rather look more natural. I don't like masking my face in a thick cloak of make up just to emphasize or ';correct'; features. I'm fine with how I look but I would really like to try out some home made, natural recipes. When I was little my grandmother would tell me all sorts of recipes to help with skin and such that were used when she was a girl. I want to find more recipes like that but have come up with recipes lacking credibility. If you know of any treatments you have used as an all natural remedy I would love to know! darken the eyebrows with a pencil... i know no eyeliner how about a dark shadow smudges around the outside of the eyes? keep colours light on the inside of the eye, use a coral coloured blush and lips with just a gloss no color!!
