Does makeup and hair weave make people beautiful? isn't beauty a combo of internal and external.?

okay. a lot of celebrities/non celebrities wear makeup, hair weaves, perms, dyes, etc. all not natural beauty. for there's no natural beauty. wearing clothes, putting soaps, polish, tans, dyes, creams, etc. on us unnatural. so, do you think makeup/hair weaves makes a person beautiful? a lot of our favorite singers such as beyonce, alicia keys, pam anderson, etc. are all airbrushed, dye their hair, some wear weaves, makeup, etc. they don't look the same without it.

i realize some people have skin issues, acne, blotches, scars, cuts, etc. and they wear makeup to cover it up to help their esteem.

as do people with weaves/perms.

but some people become disappointed when your skin isn't as nice as the makeup make it look, or your hair isn't as long as the weave makes it look.

but then again a lot of people don't look good with weave/makeup.

i get zits and blotches too.

i think you have to have the symmetrical features in your face, or a certain shape to make makeup/weave work. right?Does makeup and hair weave make people beautiful? isn't beauty a combo of internal and external.?
make up beautifies u more but beauty is more internal and don't relie on make up just love the skin ur in coz girls are all beautiful.Does makeup and hair weave make people beautiful? isn't beauty a combo of internal and external.?
I see where youre going and I totally agree with the girl up there. You have to have something good to start with in the first place. It's not just the make up its their own facial features too. BUT there are some celebs like pam anderson and avril lavigne who Ive seen without makeup and its just bad... but truly, you have to be somewhat pretty already. Im very skilled with applying makeup and I wear lots of eye make up very often, and I sometimes do have blonde hair extensions also. And yes, I do turn way more heads when I'm ';done up..'; But, like I said, you have to have something decent to work with.

But anyway, I agree with you on having to have the facial features to be pretty to begin with.

Look at Paris Hilton, her nose.. to me, it makes her face look horrible.. But whatever, thats me!
I see where you are going with this. When I would hear people criticize Beyonce and say that she wouldn't look as good if it weren't for her make-up and weave, I would always defend her and say what you stated in your last sentence... you have to have a beautiful canvas to work with ALREADY! i personally think she looks better when she's toned down. Simply because some women don't need alot of make-up b/c it makes them look fake and cartoonish. Especially when you compare the before and after, less is more and it looks fresher and sexier in my opinion.

I wear make-up, but I am a fan of keeping it simple with a little foundation and powder, carmex and maybe some mascara. I wear my hair natural and I love it! It's liberating...

I won't ramble here. I mean, of course we all know that beauty is skin deep. But, Amel Larriex, Erykah Badu, Ya Ya Dacosta, Lizz Wright, Nikki Jean from the group NOUVEAU RICHE, are all naturally beautiful with or without make-up!

And at the end of the day, women do all this airbrushing for men, no matter how hard they try to deny it and you can for damn sure tell what type of man you are dealing with when it comes to Beyonce lovers or Amel Larrieux lovers!!!

Belle, Beauty and the beast audition? clothes, hair and makeup?

i want to be belle, so i need to subtly hint at the character without looking desperate for it. the audition will be on a stage, so colors and makeup that would look good under that sort of light. i also have to do a simple dance in the outfit.

i have long (almost to my waist) dark brown, slightly curly hair, dark (almost black) eyes and a yellow kind of skin tone. (i am not asian, spanish, italian or Filipino though)

any ideas?

this is what the character looks like:

awww...one of my fave musicals. :)

Black is the best color to wear to an audition. It shows professionalism and class. So black t-shirt and black pants so you can move around. Black character shoes (Belle always wears those!).

Play up your eyes. Go with a ponytail or low bun. Wear a pretty, decorative necklace.

Relax, drink water, and break a leg!Belle, Beauty and the beast audition? clothes, hair and makeup?
How about this:

It's yellow and short, so it would be easy to dance in

The things from DEB (you should have it in your mall) are pretty cheap, yet still so cute!

Good luck, and I hope you make it! :)
I guess what you can do is to wear your hair in a light pony-tail, let some of your hair stick out, and wear dark and colorful meke-up, but not goth kind make-up since your auditioning for a play, and lastly, apply some face powder to have a lighter skin tone. Those are my tips for you.
Do they give you the outfit?

If they dont, wear a long yellow flowy shirt, or a casual dress.

Its not so much that you look her part, but that you act her part. Sing out, lots of emotion, look inocent and happy and dont be afraid to overexagerate.. Its theater!!! :)

Good luck!
wear your hair down, wit sum nice blue eyeshadow, blush, lip gloss and a spring dress with a flattering floral print or something like that.
Curl your hair (not overly, but do the ends)

Long lashes, almost nude makeup, and a light peach lipstick.

One dollar makeup from E.L.F. Ever tried their beauty products?

My friend bought a whole bunch of pieces after hearing about it on Oprah and was very suprised when the make up that she paid less than 20 bucks for was actually good makeup. I had to go over and check it out for myself and was really wow'ed by the brushes she had. Thye certainly didn't look like one dollar brushes. Now, granted we get better brushes at the dept counter, but OMG for a buck, really!!

Anyway, I'm just curious to know if anyone else had tried it and if so what is your experience with it? Would you buy it again?

thanks! :)One dollar makeup from E.L.F. Ever tried their beauty products?
yea it is actually really good, i have a bunch of makeup from E.L.F. , i recommend u buy it, its affordable and worth itOne dollar makeup from E.L.F. Ever tried their beauty products?
I love their makeup, its afforable for people who dont have much money and it works good!
I did go to their website and read the reviews that are provided for every specific product.. brushes, I would be willing to try, but hearing that some of the eyeliners, specifically the white eyeliners are so tough and you literally have to scratch it on because it's so stubborn isn't really appealing. Their blushes and bronzers I would try because I believe they're all just the same (particle size does matter, the finer it is the longer is stays, but whatever), I heard their packaging is pretty cheap though and lids can break off easily but thats what zip lock bags are for I guess haha......
I've tried some, and some of the brushes aren't too bad. I don't like that their makeup is made in China, and with all of the recalls lately, I don't trust it to use it on my face. The brushes are definitely the best deal they have. You may also want to check out http://www.coastalscents.com for their brushes, some are around $2 or $3 and I am VERY impressed with them. Some are comparable to MAC or other high end brands and you can't beat the prices. I just did a review of their brushes on my blog and I think they are a great buy. I am in no way affiliated with them!
I bouth lipgloss, mascara and liquid eyeliner. None of the products had any staying power at all. The mascara flaked off, the eyeliner smeared, and the lipgloss disappeared into my lips. I have not tried any other products.
I LOVE them! I love the eye shadows. I haven't tried the brushes but have heard good things about them. Same with the blushes and lip colors. I will definitely buy again.

I need beauty advice for hair cut color and makeup?

I have long hair probably about 15 inches or so. ( 5 inches past shoulders ) its wavy like vanessa hudgens. And i do not know what to do with it. Its like it just hangs there! And its darker red brown. My bangs are to my chin. I just do not know what to do any more!

And for makeup. I am fair skinned and i have mild acne. I do not know what kind of foundation to use. Or what kind of eye makeup. I have green eyes. And i don't know what color or what kind to use. PLEASE HELP ME!!!I need beauty advice for hair cut color and makeup?
For your hair maybe you could put some moose in it and blow dry it, make it really full and have volume. And for your bangs maybe trim them so you can sweep them across your face or perhaps some some baby doll bangs. Its really up to you and what you like but those are just some ideas.

For make up my favorite foundation is from MAC. Go to the mall and talk to them about it. The people at the make up counter can help you match and get the right one for your type of skin. They can also help you with eye make up. How to put it on what kind to use. MAC has great eye shadows and liners etc.

Opposites attract, so with for green eyes, red based colors really bring them out. Purples are great. Dark mauve's and plum. This goes for shadow, liner, and mascara. But be careful not to over do it, especially having light skin you don't want to look like a hooker! Hah.

Just be yourself and look amazing.

Hope I helped, best wishes.

omfg your so pretty! even without make-up!!!

your eyes are so prettty!!!!

but for make up, you could do a light shade of navy-ish blue eye shadow, and then as u go up, fade it into a silvey-white shade. ive seen it on commericals and they sell little things of like 4 colors, blue-lighter-even lighter-and then whiteish. it says tats for blue eyes.

you could just use clear lip gloss cause u already have rosy lips =]]

with your hair, you could do like some lighter high lights and you know curl, or completely straighten it,

for accessories, headbands sunglasses would work

but really...your really pretty and u dont need any of thisImproving Beauty?(Brace yourselves theres a pic..without makeup!)?
wow you're beautiful.

you look pretty even without makeup.
I dont think that can be improved any more you look awesome
i think your verry pretty personally...........鈾ensie

  • 2 Beauty Questions: How to make straight hair & makeup last?

Ok, so I have two dilemmas. First of all, when I straighten my hair it never STAYS straight. I use hairspray, but the ends go wavy within a couple hours. Sometimes I'll use ';smoothing milk'; or something by Garnier Fructis or this L'oreal straightening cream on damp hair before, but I see no difference. Any tips or products? Would getting my hair cut and getting my ends thinned out make any difference?

Also, my makeup seems to melt off. I don't mind my face makeup fading as much as my eye makeup. My eyeliner seems to smudge. It's black but always ends up a soft gray and doesn't look like I'm wearing anything. Same with my eyeshadow, it fades too.

Please, suggestions!2 Beauty Questions: How to make straight hair %26amp; makeup last?
with the hair, mine used to be the same way until i found an amazing hair straightener. i now have a chi which was quite pricey, but i got it as a gift. it works miracles!! my hair stays straight, shiny, and never becomes poofy when standing outside all day. i went to a concert in 90 degree humid weather and was outside for 7 hours and my hair still looked great! so, to sum it up buy a chi straightener!

also, the eyeliner you own could have something to do with it. my mac eyeliner seems to fade during the day. i got a hypoallergenic eyeliner by Bourjois and it is fabulous. i apply it on my water line and it stays throughout the school day, so for about 7-8 hrs!

hope i helped :)2 Beauty Questions: How to make straight hair %26amp; makeup last?
You might want to consider a more expensive eyeliner if it's cheap, but if that's not the case, use your an eyeshadow primer for that and the eyeshadow. It should work. If you settle on an all-over primer then I guess it'll work for the eyes as well as the rest of your face.

I'm thinking you should try those products AFTER your hair dries. And then straighten.
hm. im not so sure about your hair. maybe its just the climate you live in? like humid? i cant help you out on that..

but with makeup, try buying a waterproof eyeliner. the oil from your skin probably causes the makeup to run. or you can invest in some better makeup. mac and sephora offer makeup that last thru out the whole day. theyre a bit pricey, but well worth it :] and for eyeshadow- i feel your pain. mine always ends up in the crease of my eye. but i think using a basecoat will definately help with that. glcuk!
Why don't you try rebonding your hair instead? That way you wont have to worry much about hair ';cracking up';.Or, you can try using straightening shampoo and conditioner, which are designed to keep hair straight.Keep your hair long as the weight of longer hair helps keep it straight. Also, get a good quality straightening iron.Mist both the topside and underside of your hair with hairspray to set your hair.

Alternatively, try a home remedy to keep hair straight. Mix equal parts fresh, grated coconut and lime juice. Massage the mixture into your hair and let it sit for approximately 20 minutes. Rinse the mixture out and straighten your hair as you normally would. The coconut and lime concoction will coat hair shafts, resulting in straighter hair.

Now for your second issue. Before putting on makeup, make sure to wash your face and make sure it is oil and dirt free. This will help the makeup stay on your face. Then, use a good foundation or primer.Do not put on too much product cause this will cause the makeup to slide off your face.As for the eyeliner, dust loose powder around your eyes if you are only using eyeliner, otherwise just put on your eyeshadow and use a waterproof, creamy and highly pigmented pencil to line your eyes.Afterwards, draw over with a liquid eyeliner(i know its a chore for beginners, but you've gotta start somewhere right?).

Use loose powder to set your makeup, and make oil-blotters your best friend. But do not blot too often though!I hope this helps!

Will the scary beauty's like Katie Couric ,Diane Sawyer or Joy Bahar ever appear on camera without makeup?

...like Ophra and Tyra Banks. I can't figure out why only those two always seem to have the need to show themselves on camera without makeup. Other female television personalities don't seem to feel the need to do that. Is it the seldom discussed '; Black guilt '; of success and the need to say, '; hey I am just like you '; ?Will the scary beauty's like Katie Couric ,Diane Sawyer or Joy Bahar ever appear on camera without makeup?
I hope not...I coudn't imagine Katie Couric without makeup...Will the scary beauty's like Katie Couric ,Diane Sawyer or Joy Bahar ever appear on camera without makeup?
    My GOSH! I hope not!!!
They all do wear an awful lot of makeup.I don't think we'll ever see what they really look like,if we did we might not even recognize them.
Don't know about the others, but I believe Diane Sawyer has appeard on air without makeup
I doubt it. They don't want to scare us all.
Katie, NO!, Joy, NO! Yes to Diane Sawyer. She did! When she spent time in Iraq she went to the tent hospitals and did interviews and she had no make up. She was a champ!
They should. I don't see why not.
    doubt it
